When Blessed “Hope” G. talks about her work with HireSmart Virtual Employees, she becomes emotional. It’s not just a job to her — it’s the key that unlocked dreams she’s held since childhood.

The former mathematics teacher found her calling serving a U.S. community association management client through HireSmart. “I grew up with nothing,” Hope said, her voice carrying emotion as she recalled her childhood. “We didn’t have a television, a refrigerator, no washing machine. I have everything now — what I dreamed of when I was still a child. I have it all right now, and that’s because of this job, this career that I have with the help of HireSmart.”

In her role with the delinquency department, Hope works with her client’s attorney to reconcile accounts.

“Hope is very quick to respond and is always willing to help and do whatever is asked of her,” her client said. “Hope always sends us a ‘Close of Business’ email detailing what she did throughout the day, which we all really appreciate! To us, Hope truly goes above and beyond her job duties. She is always on top of her workload and helps us whenever we request for assistance. Hope is super quick and has truly learned our internal processes.”

“Whatever task given to me by my client, by my manager, I always say yes, and even if I don’t know yet the process… I always say yes with excitement, because I know that I can do it, because everything can be learned, and I love learning new things,” said Hope.

Her willingness to grow proved invaluable when a senior colleague resigned with little notice. She was able to pick up extra duties and help her client weather a difficult time.

Meanwhile, the stability provided by HireSmart has been crucial to Hope’s success. She previously worked directly with a U.S. client who suddenly went out of business. She had no agency like HireSmart to help her.

“He (the former boss) just messaged me that he can no longer continue to work with me because he needs to foreclose,” she recalled. “There’s really no assurance or security on your part (when freelancing) because when the client decides to stop, you have nothing.”

“I want to have animals there, like chicken, pigs, goats and, yeah, everything, docks. And also, I want to have plants, vegetables, fruits.”

Hope’s advice to other VEs reflects the mindset that has made her successful:

“Don’t close doors for the new opportunities, even if you don’t know it yet, everything can be learned as long as you are willing to learn. And yeah, I know that if I can do it, everybody can do it as well, as long as you are dedicated to your job.”

Hope plans to continue growing with HireSmart.

“I am doing my best always, because this is my bread and butter. And I am planning to stay until I retire. Hopefully, yes, I will retire here with HireSmart.”
